Policies and Compliance Frameworks

Policies are a set of standard SQL queries that can be run to check the security and compliance of your cloud resources against best practice frameworks.

This page documents the available CloudQuery SQL Policies for GCP. See the readme on GitHub for installation instructions.

GCP CIS v1.2.0

Requirements

GCP CIS v1.2.0 requires the following tables to be synced before the policy is executed:

Queries

GCP CIS v1.2.0 performs the following checks:

  • Ensure that there are only GCP-managed service account keys for each service account (Automated)
  • Ensure that Service Account has no Admin privileges (Automated)
  • Ensure that IAM users are not assigned the Service Account User or Service Account Token Creator roles at project level (Automated)
  • Ensure user-managed/external keys for service accounts are rotated every 90 days or less (Automated)
